Job Title: Human Resources Intern Type: Summer Intern / Temporary Hours: 30-40 Hours Per Week Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30-5 Benefit Resource, Inc. specializes in pre-tax benefit administration and is located in Henrietta, NY. We currently have a single HR Manager overseeing all aspects of HR for 150 employees. So, this year, we are very excited to bring aboard our very first HR intern! Currently, we are looking to identify an individual who would be interested in supporting this HR Manager for three months for approximately 32 hours per week. Dates, schedule, and hours requirements are flexible. This position will be instrumental in a major HR project involving full file reviews and audits of 200+ employee files. The goal of this project will be to assist HR leadership in: Being compliant and mitigating risk or exposure to the organization Building a database of prior experience and education to support targeted recruitment sourcing Developing HR analytics to help drive and support various HR and compensation initiatives There is also an opportunity to support recruitment and other engagement initiatives including recognition, wellness, and event management that the HR Manager is currently working on. The HR Manager is committed to making this a worthwhile learning experience for the right candidate and through all assignments will share expertise gained from a Master’s level education and PHR certification in HR as well as over 6 years of experience in HR. The ideal candidate will be a junior or senior in an accredited institution of learning (undergraduate or graduate) majoring in HR Management or Business Management. Prior internship experience in an office setting, preferably in a HR or legal environment, is ideal. A successful candidate will be highly organized with great attention-to-detail. The right candidate for BRI will also be motivated, driven, and passionate about HR while maintaining the highest level of integrity and confidentiality of information which they will come across in this role. As most of this work will revolve around compilation of data from paper forms into spreadsheets, experience with Microsoft Excel is an essential requirement. Pivot table experience may be desirable. The ideal candidate may have prior data entry experience or comfort with standard office equipment and technology.
